Day/Evening Reporting



Promising Futures, Inc. Day Reporting and Evening Reporting are community-based programs designed to provide intensive supervision, intervention, and prevention of placement into more-restrictive settings for youth who exhibit disruptive and/or delinquent behavior. The primary functions of the Day Reporting/Evening Reporting programs include intensive supervision, utilization of a cognitive-behavior change approach, and other interventions designed to prevent the removal of the child from the home, to increase community safety, and to improve family functioning. ​Day/Evening Reporting Programs has daily evidence-based group psychoeducational classes which includes but are not limited to the following: Understanding emotions Reducing stress and anxiety/distress tolerance Mindfulness Relationship improvement/assertive communication/strengthening relationships Coping strategies Grief and loss Conflict resolution Life transitions/meeting life goals/goal setting Boundaries/Healthy relationships Assertive Communication Health life habits Cultivating support networks.


Domestic Violence Intervention



Promising Futures, Inc. Domestic Violence Intervention is services geared toward the Victim and Child(ren). Our services are structured, goal-oriented, time-limited individual and group services which include casework and victim advocacy services. Services include but not limited to the following: Educational and skills-based support group for survivor and/or child Assistance with transportation Coordination of services Advocacy (which includes goal setting, case management, supportive services) Safety planning Crisis intervention Community referrals and follow up Family/Child assessment Child development education Domestic violence education Parenting education with or without children present Budgeting and money management Participation in DCS Child and Family Team meetings Family reunification Individual and family services Cognitive behavioral strategies Family of origin/Intergenerational issues Family structure and organization (internal boundaries, relationships, roles, socio-cultural history) Substance abuse screening Potential screening for traumatic brain injury of the victim using a tool such as the OSU TBI Interview form and referral for medical treatment Housing stability Self-Sufficiency ​



Fathers Engagement



Promising Futures, Inc. Fathers Engagement Program provides assistance and support to fathers whose children are involved with DCS. The Fatherhood Program consist of the following services: Information regarding the CHINS legal process including court procedures, parental participation requirements, court ordered services, visitation with the children, reimbursement of cost for services, and other aspects related to the legal process The expectations of the family related to participation in court ordered services and visitation with the children, attendance at court, appropriate dress for court, and other aspects related to the legal process Information regarding the parent’s rights and the CHINS proceedings, the length of time the children may be in care prior to a permanency procedure, termination of parental rights, and family and team meetings procedures Role of the Court Appointed Special Advocate or Guardian Ad Litem An informal environment for fathers to discuss issues that brought them to the attention of DCS and develop suggestions that may assist in resolving these issues as a group Educational programs using speakers recruited from the local professional community to assist and educate fathers in areas such as: a) Abuse and neglect b) Increasing parenting skills c) Substance abuse d) Anger management e) Advocacy with public agencies including the children’s schools f) Issues of interest to the parents related to their needs and the needs of their children g) Coaching and information to develop attitudes and social skills needed for improved family relations and personal responsibility h) After consultation with the Family Case Manager, providers will make concerted, organized, and systematic efforts to connect children with their incarcerated father (if applicable), through video conferencing, face-to-face contact, correspondence and by telephone, unless the court has determined that visiting would put the child in danger and i) Supports fathers and parental relatives in court and Child and Family Team Meetings by providing transportation and/or transportation voucher when appropriate.



Homebased casework



Promising Futures, Inc. Home based casework services provide any combination of the following kinds of services to the families: Home visits Participation in DCS Case Planning Supervised visitation Coordination of Services Conflict management Emergency/crisis services Child development education Domestic violence education Parent Education Family communication Facilitate transportation Participation in Child and Family Team Meetings Family Reunification/Preservation Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD) Support Foster family support Advocacy Family Assessment Community referrals and follow-up Develop structure/time management Behavior modification Budgeting/money management Meal planning/preparation Parent training with children present Monitor progress of parenting skills Community services information Develop long and short term goals Life skills training.



Homemaker/Parent Aid



Promising Futures, Inc. Homemaker/parent aid provides assistance and support for parents who are unable to appropriately fulfill parenting and/or homemaking functions. Services include but not limited to: Time management Care of children Child development Health care Community resources (referrals) Supervise visitation with child(ren) Identify support systems Problem solving Family reunification/preservation Resource management Budgeting Child safety Child nutrition Home management Parenting skills Housing Self esteem Crisis resolution Parent/child interaction Transportation.



Parent Education



Promising Futures, Inc. Parent Education Program is Family-centered which includes family skills training and family activities to help children and parents take advantage of concrete social supports. Promising Futures, Inc. use a combination of individual and group parent training which is the most effective approach when building skills that emphasize social connections and parents’ ability to access social supports.





Resource Families Support Services



Promising Futures, Inc. Resource Family Support Services are homebased casework services to preserve, support, and stabilize foster family home placements, and to promote the well-being of children, youth, and families. Services include but not limited to: Home visits, Coordination of services, Conflict management , Emergency Crisis services, Child development education, Developmental/behavioral effects of trauma education, Parenting education/training, Parent training with children present, Monitor progress of parenting skills, Family communication, Foster family support, Community service information, Community referrals and follow-up, Develop structure/time management, Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD) support.



Supervised Visitation



Promising Futures, Inc. Supervised Visitation Program protects the integrity of the visit and to provide a positive atmosphere where parents and children may interact in a safe, structured environment. Visitation may be held in a visitation facility neutral sites such as parks, fast food restaurants with playground, or shopping malls child’s own home or relative’s home foster home or other location as deemed appropriated by the referring agency and other parties involved in the child’s case taking into consideration the child’s physical safety and emotional well-being. The level and frequency of supervision required for visitation and how the supervision is handled will depend upon the purposes for which it is required. Promising Futures, Inc. provides transportation for this service.


Support Groups for Resource Families



Promising Futures, Inc. Support Groups for Resource Families meet each month which addresses but not limited to the following: Assist resource families in strengthening their relationships with foster children placed in their home Promote positive relationships between foster families and Family Case Managers and Foster Care Specialists Focus on enhancing placement stability Promote foster families’ willingness and ability to foster special needs children and older youth that come into care.



Transportation



Promising Futures, Inc. Transportation Program provide services for those individuals who need assistance with daily transportation needs. Promising Futures, Inc. is able to provide local within Indiana borders or transportation interstate (Illinois, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin).






Truancy Termination



Promising Futures Inc. Truancy Termination Service is to provide the following services for the Parent(s) and Child(ren) in order to reduce recidivism of delinquent youth and truants: School drop-out prevention education Job readiness skills services Parent Education Family Support Services to youth and families.



Tutoring



Promising Futures, Inc. Tutoring Program provides services that raise the academic performance of school aged youth to a level consistent with the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) Academic standards. Promising Futures, Inc. provides services for youth ages 3-21 years, all subjects. Services will be conducted individually or group.





Mentoring



Promising Futures, Inc. Mentoring Program provides mentoring for youth who are risk. Promising Futures, Inc. does mentoring services individually and group-based. Services are curriculum based and provides services to youth ages 5-21 years old.



Independent Living Skills/ Social Skills



Promising Futures, Inc. IL/Social Skills Program provides services in need. Promising Futures, Inc. does services individually and group-based. Services are curriculum based and provides services to youth ages 5-21 years old.

Afterschool/Summer Camp



Promising Futures, Inc. Afterschool and Summer Camp Program that offers a Safe Haven to youth in need. Promising Futures, Inc. programs provides academic assistance to ensure youth do not fall behind while working on their social skills.
